January 2024 saw the launch of Love Island All Stars, where former islanders were given a second chance of finding love in the infamous Villa. And Love Island isn’t Love Island without a cracking competition giving viewers the chance to win a slice of island life for themselves. This year, we offered one lucky winner the chance to win £50,000 cash, £10,000 Jet2 holiday voucher AND £5,000 to spend on all the holiday essentials with Boots. Boots’s inclusion in the competition, voiced by non-other than Iain Stirling made a perfect editorial addition to the prize package, complimenting both the cash and holiday offer. What’s more, being able to showcase multiple products and the Boots logo on screen further amplified Boots partnership with Love Island and provided valuable editorial coverage of the Boots logo and verbal brand name.
Competition Dates & Viewing Figures
As you can see from the above ITV Win delivered an additional 3 competition solicits across the series, 2 x Unseen bits and 1 x main show. The competition also aired during the launch and final episodes which is a huge factor and saw our biggest number of entrants which we believe was also aided by Maya Jama linking directly to the competition. Overall, we saw a really positive uplift in engagement and are already looking at ways we can better this across the summer.

Social support from ITV Win

“Adding Boots to the Love Island in-show competition made absolute editorial sense and enabled us to play to the power of three in the scripting. Take up of the competition was strong and breathed new life into the VT by inspiring our viewers with what products they could be getting their hands on if they were to win. We really look forward to continuing our working relationship with Boots”
